2006 MLB All Star Game

So this is going to the first in a line of a different style of posts. Instead of focusing on commenting on what has happened in the world of sports, I'll make predictions. Can I possibly be worse than John Kruk? I mean, when he predicted Troy Glaus to win the home run derby last night, my first thought was "He Gone", in that Kenny Harrelson voice that's stuck in my head thanks to MLB Extra Innings.
So we start with tonight's MLB All-Star game. First off, I'm shocked to find out that Brad Penny is starting for the National League. He's 10-2 with a 2.91 ERA and some how he's been completely off my radar. On paper it looks like the AL has the advantage, with a ton of good arms (Johan Santana, Roy Halladay, and Francisco Liriano, for example) and a lineup full of power. But despite that and really no factual basis at all, I'm picking the NL in the NL park to end the AL's recent dominance.
NL, 11 - 7
MVP: Home Town Hero Jason Bay
